Traktor Pro II Default TSI (v2.6 or above). Ps now that the forum is running fast again, I'll be posting more questions. Our system has served us well but it's over 25 years old!! Maybe we'll do the S16's after replacing all our lights and mains/amps. This is a sanctinasium with copper in 4 2" conduits. All the other monitors are driven from amps at the mix position. We only have a couple of returns in the snake and they are balanced, used for a small relocatable hot spot etc. ![]() Paul, the AHB 432 is a legacy product on the AH site last I looked a couple of years ago. If you were in southern Ontario, I'd bring one of ours over for you to try out. And since you are already running a cat5 for the P16's, you already have it there for the AES50 port, and can tap off the S16 for the the P16's. When we finally got them and changed over, the sound quality difference was remarkable. The reason I say that is that we started with our copper snake, because the S16's (we ordered 2) were backordered for over a month. Regarding the S16, I would suggest you beg, borrow one just to try out. So the next question is, does your snake have balanced returns? If so, are the 1/4" ends a TS or TRS? If it is TS (mono) and the returns are balanced (sig+, sig-, shield), then I would highly recommend you change them to XLR-F ends (sig+ to pin 2, sig- to pin 3, shield to pin 1) and be done with it. My A&H GL2400 (which I know is still a current model) has all outputs as balanced. Sure enough the outputs are unbalanced on that model as well, which surprised me. A&H doesn't list it, but doing a bit of googling I came across an AHB System 8 manual. John, I guess I didn't realize that you could assign the aux outs that way. ![]() No more moving the insert snake connections around. ![]() We already have p16's for the band so that will be a good fit. Besides not having the budget, I didn't feel there was enough advantage at the moment for the s16. It's a big beast and the supplier of the new equipment will give it to a needy ministry, there are a couple of dead channels. We are leaving the copper in place for now. ![]()
